APA Approval Department Representative

Job Description:
This position is for Facility Enrollment in the APA Approved Program. The APA Approval Department approves products, services and businesses that maintain the APA's high standards. This approval helps to increase the quality of service from businesses and reliability of pet products for pet owners.
Position includes contacting pet related businesses, in person, for the purpose of becoming APA Approved. Representative will be responsible for initial screening according to APA standards.
Initially, APA
Approval Department Representative will visit existing pet businesses in their
area. After an initial review to establish if they meet basic standards, invite
the business to apply for approval, provide program details and overcome
objections. Representative will assist the business owner with the application
and take photos as required by the Approval Department.
This position is unique as the representative will not be
required, or allowed, to use high pressure sales techniques. Businesses are very
interested in this opportunity and hard closing is not required, only education of
the benefits of being APA Approved. However, proper, ethical sales techniques,
follow up
and experience is necessary.
Your responsibilities include, finding, contacting, meeting with and enrolling pet businesses.
Representatives will also be eligible to represent the Scholastic Fundraising Program.
The APA has the highest standards in the pet industry and a spotless reputation. Only individuals with high ethics and standards should apply for this position. In addition, you should be highly self motivated.
Position may lead to Department Director or Regional Director and a salaried position.

Compensation: Base salary is not available for this position as it is not directly supervised. With the state of the economy, and the lower ethics of some individuals our base salary has been repeatedly abused. Because of this we are offering a "Ramp Up Bonus" of up to 2 times your standard commission for your first 90 days to insure adequate income. Pay is based on production (commission) as an independent sales representative.

Plus - Commissions are paid for annual renewals: 50% of initial commission while employed in the same position.
Bonus or expenses paid for above average producer to be determined by program director.
Benefits package available after 6 months employment (minimum production required).
Work Hours:
Any hours within 9am - 5pm M-Su
Full time only
Career Path:
Promotion to Regional Director is possible.
Position could include overseeing area program operations and employees.
Straight salary in excess of 50k plus bonuses.
